I have a Kindle Fire to read books on, but am considering buying a Paperwhite today with the Prime Day deal.  Is it worth it?

@lilybelle I wore out one and am on my 2nd PW. I wouldn't even consider using any other e reader! I love mine.

It's the best thing I ever purchased !

Question  Is it worthwhile to pay to eliminate ads?

A Paperwhite is definitely worth it.  So much easier on the eyes than a tablet - I love mine.  I can read in normal light, in full sun at the beach and in bed with no lights on.  You can increase/decrease the font size for what's most comfortable for you.

I used to read on a Kindle but for me, my Fire tablet works great!  Its especially nice when I'm on a long cruise (30 days) and read about a book a day.

@lilybelle  I have one and would not be without it.  So easy to read under any lighting conditions.  I can read while outside on my deck in bright sun light even.  Plus it does have a long battery life.

I think. you will enjoy having both the paperwhite and the fire.  The paperwhite is not in color, so the fire is good if a book has color photos.  You can also listen to books on the paperwhite with earpods or speakers can't you?  I have one but listen to books mostly through my phone and speakers

The paper white has better resolution which is easy on the eyes.  Would not be without mine.
