Does anyone know what this is and why it keeps popping up on my iPad screen?  It's driving me crazy.

I put your question in a google search and this popped up  - not sure if it will help or not.

Turn off Multitasking Gestures in Settings/General. It will stop the Multitasking bar from popping up from the bottom but will not stop the Notification Center from coming down from the top.

CindyNC:

I checked and it's already off.  Thank you though.

Have you shut down and restarted your iPad?  Maybe that will help.  I have something similar going on.  I don't have Apple Music installed, but sometimes when I open my iPad, there is the Apple Music player saying that it's not playing.  Drives me nuts.  I have to download the Apple Music app, let it play something, then delete it from the device.  When I do that, the Apple Music player "screen" is gone.  But I never know when it will appear again.

@Bridgegal @Do you have a keyboard? This looks like the screen you get to use with an app called Spotlight along with a real keyboard. It can let you switch between apps.

@Mindy D

Thanks.   Yes, I use the apple Smart Keyboard for the iPad.

I have no idea what Spotlight is so don't knowingly use it.
