I've been wanting one since they came out but each time I made a decision to get one, an emergency came up for something else.  Then I begin wondering if I really wanted a tablet that big.  Well now, there is a size 10.5 tablet and I went with that.  I also got the pen, keyboard and Applecare.  I cringed buying that pen but.....

I was also happy to see that I didn't have to pay for it up front.  On the Apple site when placing your order, you see an oportunity to appy for an interest free Barclay credit card as long as you pay it off within the alloted time given.  The time depends on how much your order is.  Mine is $1200 plus so I will have 18 months.  I'm sure that I can easily pay it off in 6 months or less.

My justification for buying it is because it's my Mother's Day gift to me.  And if Mother's Day wasn't coming it would have been my birthday gift.  If that had passed, it would have been my Just Because gift.  Whenever, lol.

Congrats!!! Enjoy your new "toy"...I made a big mistake by not buying my new Red Iphone 8plus (which by the way I absolutely hate too big🙃). using my Apple Card😕.  I wasn't thinking ... never go in a Apple store sick & not focused😮!

anyway, that's a great incentive I've bought my things on that deal through Barclay -- of course, the trick is to pay it off by deadline.

I did the 24 month no-interest when i bought my son as a new house gift his kitchen french door fridge, slide in range, microwave & dishwasher in SS & washer&dryer...I got 24 months interest free...just paid off 2 months early.

Love these incentive deals!  I even did that with my new a/c unit 60 months interest free!

I own an iPad Pro 9.75 which I got as soon as it came out. A perfect size and I have the pencil, too. Loads of fun and worth the money. I know exactly how you feel about this big purchase. 

You will love the convenience of the 10.5 and the wonderful features of the Pro device. The screen and speakers are amazing and it is delightful to use productively or just for amusement and learning/exploring online.

I sometimes use the pencil for coloring via free apps like Pigment, an electronic coloring book with patterns and palettes of all types that you might find relaxing to fill in via the pencil. It’s quiet and fun and free, so try it out from the App Store. 

You don’t need a reason like Mothers Day or any occasion to buy something that pleases you and is affordable through payment arrangements or upfront money. Get used to the idea that you are allowed to buy things without a rationale if the expense does no harm to another person or a pet. As long as everyone has their basic needs met and no shortcuts come of buying a thing like an iPad Pro, you don’t have to prove it’s a worthy moment for the purchase.  It’s called discretionary money and it has no judgment attached.

I’m glad you’re able to buy this for yourself. I wish you many hours of happy indulgence, easy use, and proud ownership as your return on investment. 

Life is short; eat dessert first.  Enjoy the tablet. Worth every penny.

I got a new one when I bought the laser jet printer in January/February. I don’t even use my new laptop (bought to create documents). Love it and I’m sure you will too.

Thanks @gizmogal.  It has always been hard for me to my high ticket things 'just because'.  I'm constantly thinking that the 'extra' money might be needed for something.  I don't touch savings ever.  My husband says that's crazy.  But I'm the one that's realistic about everything going up in price.  I can buy a bag of pecans and he will eat them like they cost the same as peanuts, lol.

But I've been wanting that iPad Pro for a long time and I felt so good when I hit that send button, lol.  I thought I'd have to wait for approval but it was instantaneous!  I went through Barclays when I bought my iPad 4... the 9.7 one about four or five years ago and I don't recall approval being so quick.  I paid that off it two months, maybe three. Then I closed the account because anything else I bought would have had interest attached.  That's how that get some people, I think.  I should have it by May 11th.

@Mmsfoxxie, I have the iPad Pro as well and I enjoy it.  I have put off buying the pencil as I a, hoping they will put out the next edition with some ridges so it doesn’t roll off the table.  Any news on that front anyone?

I don’t splurge on much but I do on electronics.  I heavily use mine so that’s ok🙂.  Enjoy your new iPad.  LM

Enjoy!  Enjoy!  If this is your first Apple product or tablet, you are going to fall in love with the quality, ease of use, and service this tablet will provide you.  They cost more, but they are worth it.  I have an iPad mini and a Macbook Pro with Retina display.

@Lilysmom, I was hoping for that to come soon, too.  Now that I've made my purchase, that will come out, lol.

@Ainhisg, I have the original mini, from qvc a mini 2 which turns out to be refurbished and the original 9.7.  Itvwas definitely time for me to update.  My original mini doesn't take all updates anymore and freezes sometimes.  But that could be my router.  I'm kind of embarrassed getting another Apple.  I completely forgot that could have traded one or more of them.  Maybe I still can trade one of them.

Enjoy your new tablet.  This device has the best hardware, wireless card, etc. Please check your wireless router etc. You want the best connection  speed.
