How do you usually hold and position your iPad? I have a larger iPad Pro of 10.5." I'm always retrying to hold it away from me but sometimes I wind up putting it on my and hold it up while I'm lying down. This worries me because of radiation. I do have a Flippy pillow stand for it bought here on the Q but it isn't always comforable tipo use and si have had my iPad fall off of it and smack me in the face.

@Mindy D. I use a 10" Samsung pad and I have an adjustable holder that attaches to the back through which my hand goes so, in essence, I effortlessly hold the device in the palm of my hand. Amazon always has a variety of these tablet holders; the best are made by Lapworks. You have to be careful to order the correct size.

@Kachina624 @How far away from you are you able to keep holding it? My iPad is heavy because it's in a protective Otter Defender case and my palm keeps getting tired and sore. If it's not too much trouble could you tell me which holder you use? I'm usually reclining on a sofa when looking at my iPad.

@Mindy D. I'm usually reclining in my recliner to use mine. I went to Amazon and made copies of some of the types I like. They are low on Lapworks models but the Lapworks website has some. It's important to get one that swivels so you can go from vertical to horizontal quickly and without effort. You can hold it from your nose to arm's length. I kind of rest mine against my stomach so its pretty much weightless.
I'm currently using the Joylink Holder which is okay but not my all time favorite. I'm not familiar with the case you use.

I have a 10" Kindle and I am sitting virtually all the time I am using it. I just prop it on my lap (or on my stomach if I am slouching). I have a cover that folds back and makes a stand so that it can sit upright.

I hold it on a shelf while I use my Mac Air. I just can't get comfortable for long periods with an IPad. I use my mini IPad to read, but I don't use that for long times and it is light.
I only have one of those thin light front covers on the Mini IPad.

Usually I rest it on my lap.If I'm at the table I rest it there. If I'm watching something I fold down the stand from the case & rest it on my leg or the table.

when I'm lying in bed on my side or stomach, I set my flippy on the bed. I love my flippy (got mine at walmart).
There are three different sides to the flippy that give different degrees of slope or angle.

I have a 12.9 inch iPad that I have in a case that will allow you to set it up and it is adjustable. Amazon has a gazillion options.

I use an Infiland case on my Samsung S7 tablet. It has an wake sleep feature which has a place to store an S-pen. I brought the case from Amazon.
