Hotmail Folders

[ Edited ]

I was on my hotmail and hit something in the folder area by mistake and now the only folders I have is inbox and draft.  I checked the view on top and went into the pane and it seems to be right according to how to fix it via microsoft.  It's the same on 3 browsers.  When I'm in hotmail in the search box i type all folders and they pop up on top of the search box but when I click on it nothing shows.  I checked to see if anything was in the deleted bin and there is nothing in it.  Does anyone have any suggestions how I can get my folders back.  If I could access the deleted folder maybe I could move them back but can't get into it.  It says there is nothing in any folders.  I do show what's in the inbox folder and draft folder that still shows where it should be.  Totally confusing.  I tried youtube but nothing works.

@kismet did you look in both the inbox and draft folders to see if you accidently moved the missing folder into one of those folders?

What device are you using?

The folders just might be collapsed - if you see a little down arrow on the left side of where it says inbox click that.

I use Hotmail.  Franand Zoe is on the right track.

Go to the column on the left and next to your email addy there is a tiny arrow.  Click on it and the folders should expand.  Hope this works for you.

I was lucky enough to have a neighbor bring in my folders.  I don't understand what she did but she got them back and said they were there but had to know how to get them back.  I will have to get back to her to find out what she did.  This happened once before but I got them back.  Thanks to everyone for the help.  I will keep in mind about that little arrow next time.  Don't remember seeing one but it could of been there.
