Home Security Camera's - What do you have?

Kerstin,

I am thinking about purchasing a DIY home security camera and one day while watching you present the Ring you showed via your cell phone your home and you caould see your husband walking around.

What brand of camera's do you own.  I am looking for something that you can check and see live video.

Also, does your camera's have 2-way audio so that you can talk to the person you see?

Thank you in advance for your response!

Pam

@pspry  Doubt Kristen reads these Forems. You might ask this question on her Facebook page for a better chance of an answer. Good luck!

@pspry

No cameras for me. Our home location and my 9mm cover all I need to know, and assure the safety of our home, property and us that occupy it.

Have no idea who Kristen might be!

I don't know who Kristen is either, but if this is a question for the general pop here, I'll say that I have these Blink cameras and I think they are awful.  My husband bought them one night when he saw them on QVC and I think they are just more a PITA than anything else.

They work sporadically to such an extent that I guess we will be very fortunate if one or more of them (we have 5 around the house) actually works when it needs to.

I would not recommend them AT ALL.

BTW, if the person you mentioned is a QVC host or vendor, they are not allowed to participate in the board.   Maybe they have Facebook or a blog on this website and that's your best option.  HTH Smiley Happy

A good place to look for electronics is CNET dot com. You can search BEST PRODUCTS in their banner and from there you can narrow it down to a specific category, in this case look under Best Smart Home. You can look at just security cameras or entire security system. The website lists prices, reviews and also recommends the best places to buy the products. @pspry

I am interested in feedback as well.  I am not looking for a security service but good camera coverage.  Recommendations appreciated.  LM
