My printer is printing just awful color. I have relatively new cartridiges. Genuine HP ink and the cartridges are full.
I have done everything possible to produce a better color image, other than buying a new printer, any suggestions?
Or if someone wants to give a recommendation on a good home printer that produces quality prints, I would appreciate it.
I print a lot of color images that need to be precise in color and clarity.
Thanks

Google HP printer color off - lots of suggetions re how to fix.
I have an HP Envy 6155 printer - love it. After trying Epson and Brother so glad I tried this one. Very inexpensive too for the quality and features. And it's quite compact. I can even print from my iPad and iPhone which I couldn't do before.

@FranandZoe I have been messing with the printer all morning and last week as well...followed all directions for trouble shooting.
I have 3 different devices that I would like to be able to print from, my desk top computer is old so I am not sure a new printer would connect to that device but if I could use the others that would be great.
I might make a trip to Office Max...for some advice
thanks.

@FranandZoe We have an HP Envy 4520 for almost 10 years. Although we don't print much in color, we've had no problems.

I will NEVER, ever buy another HP printer ---EVER!!!! Had 3 of them that I bought in the last 6 years--all ran great in the beginning, but then they started to do weird stuff and I was online with CS all the time and even they had issues--all wanted me to send them back!!! They were not the most pricy models but weren't the cheapest either. My desktop is HP and is great----printers---garbage!!!!

@Mom2Dogs "I have done everything possible to produce a better color image,"
"I have been messing with the printer all morning and last week as well...followed all directions for trouble shooting."
Does that mean you did everything mentioned in HP's Utility app & still no results?
Care to share by providing details?
Which model HP printer do you own?
Exactly what troubleshooting efforts have you done/tried? Looked up your model for troubleshooting suggestions? YouTube tutorials?
It's very difficult to help w/troubleshooting when there are no details provided. By doing so, it prevents the "been there, done that" scenario.

Yes, I read and followed instructions on how to clean the printer.
I recalibrated, cleaned the heads of the cartridiges...everything. The colors are not what is expected and the printing is void in some areas on the printed paper.
I am now thinking it is the ink cartridiges, which are only a month old, and they are genuine HP cartridges. It is a HP7150 Photo Evvy printer.
I know the file is ok as I had my step daughter print the file for me...beautiful color.

@Mom2Dogs Go on HP support site, look up Article c05805661- HP PageWide Enterprise Color, HP PageWide Managed Color - Resolving color print quality problems
Try all their troubleshooting suggestions you have not tried yet.

Also, if printing from a Mac, visit the Mac User Guide website, select your OS.
Read Article - Update your printer software if your printer has a printing problem on Mac
Good Luck!

I've had 2 HP printers for at least 10 years and would never switch brands.
Just curious on why you seem to have had an issue sending back a non working printer when the service rep wanted you to do that? What did you do with them?
