On my old computer with windows xp I could select the game # I wanted to play.  On my windows 7  computer that option is not available.  Is there a way to select a game #?

@bettyboop33 I’m not familiar with windows 7, but there must be something somewhere that you can click on that will let you do that.

I kept my old desktop with Windows XP for 2 reasons---it has the Quicken 2010 version which I still use (later versions are terrible!) and it has the version of Free Cell which I love and which is probably the one you are referring to.  I have never been able to find that version for my laptop and for  some reason, I can't transfer it.  I always use the random selection of game nos.

Hi bettyboop33,

The laptop I'm on as I type this runs on Windows 7 Home Premium and all the games that are accessible are found in the "Games" folder. All I do is go to the start icon > All Programs > Games folder and I click to expand it to find all the games: (i.e. Chess Titans, Dark Orbit, FreeCell, Games Explorer, Hearts, Mahjong Titans, Minesweeper, Solitaire, Spider Solitaire) don't really play them all but that is where I go to access them.

@Katrinka23, to get Wind7/XP games for Window 10 check out ( winaero.com/blog/get-windows-7-games-for-windows-10/ ), it is the site I use.   Also, you can do a search on the phrase "play windows 7 games in windows 10" to find the games.

Caveat--when there is a major upgrade of windows the games may need to be reinstalled.  Your settings for the games will still be there.

What is good for the goose today will also be good for the gander tomorrow.

Thanks for the help.  I wish I would have kept my old xp computer.  I never thought that freecell would be changed.  I had been playing freecell in numerical order and figured windows 7 I could do the same.

I'll just have to play in random order as they come up.
