Yes, my thinking is that WIN and APPLE don't want to mutually cooperate. They want exclusive rights to their customers!
What is up with APPLE not working documents (WORD) into their OS😘

Lots of discussion on there about the automatic installing of Windows 10 without the users permission. This program works, too.
HOW TO REMOVE WINDOWS 10:
IF THE COMPUTER ALREADY IS OPERATING WINDOWS 10:
You may want to google GWX CONTROL PANEL
OR GO TO THIS SITE THRU THIS LINK:
http://ultimateoutsider.com/downloads/
Choose the GWX CONTROL PANEL PROGRAM -- AT THE TOP -- FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS

Yes, I was able to follow this and found out I have 30 days to go back to Windows 7.
Thank you again for helping!

LovesToTeach, ok, I finally found it in a round about way. It says under Edition : Windows 10 Home
So, yes I do have it and I guess I will look around in it as I have 30 days to remove it. I appreciate your giving me this information so I know what the heck is going on!
Thanks everyone - I appreciate all the helpful answers.

I am so glad. Do you think you will be able to do this?

@chickenbutt wrote:It is my opinion that the only programs one should have set to automatically update are the anti-virus program and anti-malware program.
Windows Updates should be set so that you are made aware of updates, but YOU choose which ones to install. I know I've said this a million times here, but I really wish people would listen. Or, hey, you don't know me - that's fine - then ask somebody whose word you trust, and is knowledgeable on the subject, and THEN take the same advice you'll be given.
It's just frustrating to see people not know anything about their computer and not be willing to learn how to maintain it properly.
Ok, sorry - rant over.
How does one do this in windows 10?

I hope so - I'm not afraid to explore or click on things within the system or ask questions or for help. I've always loved learning new things, although this may be challenging at first!

To be sure you're aware, @LTT1, The GWX Control App takes you through the update settings, etc., and then automatically blocks future attempts to install Win 10 without permission. I've set mine for a few years to allow me to select which updates I want installed...mainly because I like to hold off a couple of weeks due to MS's habit of not debugging completely out of the gate. So sorry MS "did it" to you, @HerRoyaLioness , installing Win 10 without your permission. This is a new occurrence with this OS so unless you've been keeping abreast of MS's aggressive approach online, you would not know. You shouldn't fault yourself for the update settings and auto updating. MS recommends auto updating...so once again, if you're not a particularly avid reader of OS-related info or a friend of someone who might share their knowledge, you wouldn't know any different. My original information came after some faullty updates to Win 7 caused problems here a few years ago.
I'm glad to see some posters have come to your rescue. I did post a thread here in Electronics earlier about a fix to prevent the Win 10 install that is working well here. Some of us have opted to hold off on Win 10 for various reasons so if you decide it's not for you, please uninstall it (Start Menu in Win 10 has that option for 30 days after install)and then go to the GWX Control Panel site and install that program so you won't have to go through it again (as MS is continually making the attempts now). Hey thanks @Gokat!
I meant to flag @dooBdoo also
The original poster @HerRoyaLioness
had the issue that WIN 10 had completely installed.
I caught mine in time and stopped it.
There may be others here with same issue.
