Yes, it's a good deal. If it was a 15- incher Zi'd have gone for it. I'm looking to replace a 4-5 year old i3 with Win 7, but want to skip Win 8 entirely ;-)

When I go back and look at my old 15" laptop (a Vista OS, purchased at HSN in 2007) it now looks dinky to me. But it is a little less unweildy to hold.

 

Yeah, consider yourself lucky to have not dealt with Win 8 (although I do know some users like it a lot).

My current is a 17.3" Toshiba, but I rarely use it because it's huge and clunky compared to my iPad, which I use 99% of the time, so I'd even be okay with a 13-14". I've gotten used to small, if it has a good screen.
