Purchased 1 recently from Walmart -don't remember the brand's name ($10) it did not work.  Purchased 1 from HSN ($20) InstCHARGE brand and it also does not work.

What portable chargers have you purchased to charge your cell phones that you've been happy with?

Don't work, or not fast enough charging?  Different batteries in cell phones charge at different rates, and I have found that with each Samsung Galaxy "S" model my wife owns, each one charges faster using the same chargers.

The Samsung S8 she now has charges in half the time as her S5, again using the same chargers.

They do not work - for example, they have light bars to show 25% charged, 50% charged, etc. It states in the directions the bars will light-up, mine did not light up at all.

Charged the charger overnight.  My phone was only 50% charged, connected the charger to it and my phone did not show the lightening bolt that shows it's charging.  Left the charger connected to my phone overnight, looked at the phone and it was still only 50% charged.

What chargers have you had good luck.  I need it for my tracphone.

Are you looking for a power bank or an AC USB hub to charge multiple devices at once?

For a power bank, I use the Dulla M50000

For a USB power hub, I use the Anker 40w 5 port

Both are available at Amazon

They don't come fully charged.  Did you charge it completely before recharging your phone?

We used one during IRMA and it worked.  A cheap Ankor.

@BunSnoop

Many times the problem can be the cable that connects your cell phone to the charger, even if the "lightening bolt" shows it is charging. I always have spare USB to Mini Cell Jack cables for this very reason.

I have several different types of USB chargers. 2 of them are on an regular "alkaline recharger" that recharges 9 volt/AA and AAA batteries. It has a 1 volt and a 2 bolt charger inputs from any type of USB device. Also have a 5 input port USB charger in our patio room to keep our 2 tablets and my wife's cell phones charging while using them. This is a 12,000mA charger.

No particular brand other than the extra cables I have bought that have Amazon's name on them.

I bought one from Amazon.  "Fast charger"  The part that goes into the wall lights up to show it's connected and working and it is much faster that either of my previous chargers.  In addition, fits both my Kindle (why I bought it) and my phone - yea!
