I have a set of those Westinghouse lights and I like them. Well, kind of, the dogs knock them over but they are easy to set upright again.
I would LOVE TO KNOW if anyone else would like to see the color option to be red, blue and the default white for the multi-color choice or one choice of multicolor. Because then you could have red, white and blue flashing lights for July 4 and Memorial Day, etc. It would be great.
It's just a matter of the chip used to select the color bulb set to choose red, blue and the white only (rather than green or purple or yellow) so it's not impossible at all.

We have some solar lining our driveway but only because my wife's cousin gave them to her. Our driveway is curved and long and I lost count or how many have gotten run over by UPS/FedX and USPS vehicles.
For me that are only something cosmetic and serve no useful purpose. Now if they put out enough light to light up our sidewalk I might give that a thought, but the ones I've see light up less than a match or very small flashlight. Where we live it is very, very dark and the solar lights I've see don't do anything but add looks, to some people, but I am not one is into paying for cosmetics and prefer something that actually serves some function.

Wow, I'd love that. It would cost more, but so convenient. I have to open 12 lights and push the switch, then twist a cover on again. Not hard, but I think twice about reprogramming them.

It's true they aren't very strong. In winter, they die out before morning (dark) because there isn't enough solar to charge the battery for the entire long night. But I still love them.

Sears online has a set of four that change from red, white and blue. They seem very dim though. The description says they're brighter in a dark area but I don't know.
We have the Westinghouse Adonia 20 lumens solar lights and love them. They are super bright. I'm in a small Appalachian town and there isn't a road light on our street (Neighboring streets do but this is a privately owned cul de sac.). So when it gets dark, it gets dark. We have them along the edge of the front flower bed, only 4, and they light up the front yard quite a bit as well as the front bedroom with the curtains open. They are $20 each but well worth it and the housing is glass and aluminum. My only complaint and that of the reviewers on Walmart.com is, they are hard to find. For some reason stores only carry a few and only a few stores carry them.

Is there a recommendation for a specific model of a solar light that is superior enough to offer light in a dark area while adding that attractive touch?
As for colors I have a couple of those spotlights from the Q, $150 a each that shine the colored dots, I cannot remember the name....but we have really enjoyed those a great deal.
Thanks,
Have an awesome day!

Q used to sell solar lights with color changing option. I can't remember what the colors were though. I love my solar lights. They are now three years old and looking it. They give good light. Next season i'll look for a replacement.
The hardwired one's are best, but my outdoor socket isn't in a place where that would work and I'm not moving it.
