GE smart series 14.1mp, 7x optical zoom digital camera with 2gb sd card & software bundle

Can anyone tell me if this is a good camera for an occasional picture taker? This package is specially priced @ $100 and will be used for vacation photos and casual picture taking. Does GE make good cameras? It is not a brand I associate with photography.
