Re: Fraudulent Order of Electronics on my QCard!

The security on this site still appears to be lacking. Two years ago, I had a card stored on the Q site that was ONLY used for Q purchases. I was checking that card account and noticed gas, groceries and a car wash charged to this card in CALIFORNIA and I've never been there in my life.

The only place I've ever used the card was at QVC. Of course I reported it and disputed those charges but I've been very concerned since because the Q site seems to be so far behind technologically.

Credit cards are issued by banks not retailers. The bank assumes losses for unauthorized purchases and also determines which cases to pursue. Generally the consumer bears little or no liability as long as its reported promptly.

While that is true, it is STILL frustrating to have this happen. In addition, if unauthorized orders are NOT caught early it's truly a hassle dealing with this especially as with the Q card, you cannot even talk to anyone from the bank, the card and all contact numbers even on the manage your Q-card site lists the number for QVC customer service. There is a physical address for Synchrony and I have sent them a letter with the police report # and advised my frustration of dealing with QVC personnel regarding this matter.

As Synchrony will be the ones suffering the loss, they might be a bit more concerned about the Q's continuing failure in the internet security area.

It seems like they used to have the membership number on the packing slip, but went down to only four digits. How about none? I'm going to go check a couple slips now. No Q card here, but I'm going to be more diligent.
