She will also tell you when your Amazon order has been delivered and yes she will play a song you request. I've had the same Alexa for probably 10 yrs, she reminds me it's time to reorder a item but here lately when I tell her to set an alarm on occasion she says sorry the internet is not working now but my internet is working for everything else so she may be needing a reset or she's needs to retire. Alexa has been a long time dependable friend  !

she will tell the grands a knock-knock joke, too.  I get the a.m. temp and weather from her every morning.

@Natureluvr I feel the same way.  When Alexa first came out I got one and we used it for a while.  However it creeped out DH after a while and I decided to stop using it.  

Recently I was cleaning and getting rid of some stuff and I came across the Alexa.  I thought that I had given it away.  

It does make life easier but it also knows everything that you are doing.  I'm not sure that I want that information out there.  It may seem innocent enough but I am a bit wary of it.

I'm surrounded by Alexa's and use them all of the time. I haven't used a regular kitchen timer in years.I just tell Alexa, "Set a timer for ten minutes" and it's done. They're very handy devices and frankly, anyone listening to me over them will just get very bored and wonder why I talk to my cat, fish, and plants so much.

I love my Alexa and if anyone were listening they would be bored.  Smart TV's and cell phones can also listen as well.

I'm surrounded by Google's. 13 be exact but two of those are outside. Five of myGoogles have screens.  Three of those screened devices have cameras.  I'm all to aware of what could be happening, but I don't know that it is and I'm too deep in to its ecosystem to stop now.  It's my personal assistant.  And that reminds me I need to tell it to tell the robot to vacuum and mop the kitchen.  My wonderful husband made a wonderful mess in the kitchen while cooking a wonderful dinner 😉
