Hello and Happy New Year!! 

I bought for Christmas the BE FREE DVD PLAYER with headphone and case this past DEC when Mary Beth and Craig Smith were selling it just before Christmas.  I am confused so I need some clarification from the knowledgeable electronic customers of QVC. This product is no longer on the Q because it sold out. However there are several you tube videos showing different Q hosts selling this product. One new male host, Justin I believe shows him and Shaun selling the product where he speaks of this dvd player can be used in place of your tv, but yet when I now see other hosts selling it, no one mentions the TV element.she goes on and on about it being used in place of your tv. At one point, she asks Justin directly how can you watch tv on the device and he then goes on to explain the different ports but never speaks or demonstrates how the device can be used in place of a television.  Im debating to send the product back. Could someone tell me whether or not this can be used not only to play dvds but also used instead of your tv?? Thank you, MJ

Instructions would be in the user manual.  YOu make no mention that you read it.

FWIW... Never heard of a dvd player that can turn into a tv?  Does this player have "channel" buttons on the player itself as well as its remote?

On beFree website they only show one model of this dvd player. I'm not sure if it's the one you bought or not. Also not sure if they sell one with a TV plus one without a TV.

QVC has one listed on their site E311291 which has a link to download a channel scan guide. If yours has where you can download a channel scan guide yes you can watch TV on it. The channel scan guide looks like this. Brand on it shows Trexonic. Hard to see. You will have to go to the item number E311291 on QVC to download the channel scan guide so you can see it.

I havent opened the box in case I mail it back, I question this because it "seems" as if Justin ( host with Shaun) mentions how easily it can be used in play of your tv but yet , I noticed just today, that Craig Smith with mary Beth does not mention its tv capapbility at all.... that is why i included the videos from the different presenters with the hosts. I have included a photo from be FREE sound website of the one the Q sold and the one on their website. MJ

Ok, I think I have my answers, just showed the presentation with Shaun and Justin from Aug 2024 presenting this product. The question I bring up is when Shaun asks Justin if television programs can be streamed on the device and he never really answers her question, he just goes on to show her and audience the different ports on the device. I showed this to my husband and he says she is in error, it is not a tv like I think of a tv. The only things seen on a larger screen tv with the use of the RCA jacks included with device are the dvds you place on the device, there is no streaming capabilty, hence why other hosts from August until the device sold out at Christmas with Mary Beth and Craig Smith make no mention of watching tv shows on it, unless they have been recorded on a dvd you place on the device to be played on the larger screen tv. @MILKI     looks like it comes with a dvd player and a screen you should be able to insert dvd and hit play as it similar to playing a dvd on a computer no tv needed

not sure of this model but maybe it also reads a usb thumb drive with video on it       battery powered so should work like any other portable dvd player with a tray and maybe the usb thumb drive

eta  if it has bluetooth connection capability it should sink up with any tv set that uses bluetooth capability  or   if the b free has an hdmi socket you possibly could run an hdmi cable from the be free to plug into the tv hdmi

The salesman in one video I watched says no Bluetooth.

I didn't think you could use it as a TV. I thought it needed a TV tuner for that. It would help if beFree would list more information about it on their site. All I found was the same info @MILKI  posted. It's called a DVD player.

Even if you can watch TV on it you won't be able to watch very long using batteries.
