Fire 10 - virus protection?

Has anyone put an antivirus app on their Amazon Fire 10? I do not have one on my Fire 8. I do have one on a Panasonic tablet I have. Just curious about what others are doing to protect their Fire 10. Or maybe nothing is needed.

I have the Fire 7. I do not have anti-virus software installed on it. But I was concerned so I did some digging around and all I can say is android based systems rarely get infected and anti-virus software is also rare to find. Avoid downloading apps outside Amazon Appstore or Google Play is the best way to protect your android device.

I do. I have Trend Micro Security on my laptop and it comes with up to 3 devices, so I have both my android phone and my Fire set up with it.

To me, because the devices are smaller, I'm more prone to hitting a link or ad by accident on those. Since it doesn't cost anything extra to cover them, it's more peace of mind.

I don't have virus protection on my fire 10.

I use Norton free Fire app on my Fire 10. It scans the tablet and apps. You do not have to pay for basic functions.

I did for my fire 8 and the only protection is a lock or call them if you lose it or stolen, but no virus protection
