I have had that problem once it a while. It usually has been accidentally sent to the junk mailbox, considered spam, etc. Check the junkmail box. If it's there, answer that email, and make sure that email address is listed newly in your contact list, etc.

Do you use an iPhone or Apple laptop/pc? I have 1 person I cannot text on my iPhone. It is just some weird thing with Apple. I've gone into an Apple store for help and they can't figure it out either.
