Here is a puzzle I hope someone can figure out:
For no apparent reason, one (and only one) of my regular Email recipients, with whom I have been Emailing for years, is suddenly unable to receive Email from me. She says, to the best of her knowledge, mine is the only mail she is not receiving. I receive her mail, and, to the best of my knowledge, I am not having any other difficulties on my end. Oddly, this has happened before with this same person. At that time, the problem persisted for about a month then mysteriously cleared on its own.
This new situation has been going on for about two weeks. I had her verify today that she had not inadvertently blocked my address or directed mail from me to a wayward file.
Does anyone have any other suggestions for us? If so, I'd love to hear them, as she and I are stumped. Thanks!

I had a similar situation a few years back. I wasn't receiving e-mails from a friend in Australia. She called me when she hadn't gotten a reply to a particularly important e-mail she had sent. I contacted my internet provider and it seems they had blocked all senders from the internet provider they were using due to some sort of spamming operation.
You might check with your provider and have her check with hers and make sure that there are no blocks at the ISP level.

I agree with Buck-i-Nana. This can happen if you forward an e-mail with a lot of recipients. The ISP thinks it's spam and you get blocked.

That's good to know.

Thank you, Buck-i-Nana and glb613, for your suggestions. My friend contacted her ISP, who said there was no problem on that end, inferring the trouble is with me. My ISP only suggested I ask her to add me to her Trusted List. I've passed that info to her, but have not heard yet if it worked.

MrsG - do you have another e-mail account that you could try sending her an e-mail from? If a message from an alternate e-mail gets to her, then the issue is with your ISP. If you don't have another e-mail, getting one is easy using yahoo or hotmail or even gmail.

I think you somehow got on her ignore list, she needs to check on that

Buck-i-Nana, I followed your suggestion and created a gmail account. Last night I sent my friend a note from gmail, my default Email account and inside a link to share some Shutterfly photos. She received all three versions.
Go figure.
Thanks for your assistance. I sincerely appreciate it. BTW, I'm glad you're not even a little bit invisible anymore. ![]()

Glad it finally worked from another address. Your friends email provider has a background setting that is seeing your email address as spam. Its filtering it, and not even letting it be delivered to her. That is why when you created a new email, on another kind of email provider, it went through.

As I posted earlier, this can happen when people forward e-mails with a lot of addresses. It gets flagged as spam.
