My Chromebook is reaching the end of its lifespan in April, I was looking at the TSV. I have an iPad and a couple of Amazon Fires, do I really need a computer? I'm kind of thinking I don't, basically I read my emails, surf the web, shop, and do social media, I really don't need a computer for that.

@Jordan2 I'm in love with tablets, especially my Samsung and iPad. I've never even considered buying another computer because tablets are so comfortable to use and do everything I need.

@Jordan2 I have been using an IPad for many years. Can't remember the last time I sat and used our home computer.

I like to have a laptop for the keyboard.

It's a must for me .... I need the Microsoft Office software, my genealogy software, etc., etc.. Zoom meetings and seminars are "more comfortable" for me on the laptop than on the tablet or phone.
I belong to a couple of women's and church groups, and I have to be able to create and to print documents and charts.
I have a tablet that I never use and my iPhone is for keeping calendar and checking mail and appointments on-the-go.

I have an Apple Air laptop. I haven't touched an IPad in a long time, although we have them, and would hate to have to use that alone.

When my iPad died a few months ago, I didn't replace it. My life seems to work well as long as I have a laptop and a smart phone. That's personal preference, not necessarily what would suit someone else.

I have one friend that has an I Pad and a Kindle. I have another that has a cell phone only. OK for them, but that would drive me crazy. Have to have that keyboard. We have a couple of adventurous medical centers around here that have self check-in kiosks. I hate them.

I use my computer for mostly business functions and storing/printing documents. My iPad is my fun device for games, the two forums, browsing the web, and texting. My phone is used as a phone. I could probably eliminate the phone before I could my computer. All three are Apple devices, so the phone and iPad do relay almost all information to each other.
It is interesting how different folks use devices. My husband does everything on his phone except play games. His iPad is used far less than mine. He relies on me to be his secretary where the computer business stuff is done.

I currently have four windows and multiple tabs open. Give me a laptop anytime.
Also, I have 75 year old eyes and uncooperative fingers. Smart phones are okay in unusual situations but not practical for me.
