I bought a Dell from qvc last year as a Christmas gift. Now one year later warranty is out and the screen is all white and will not function . Talked for a long time, could not understand this support person where do they send you, sorry your warranty is now out sorry I cannot help. Qvc said sorry u r not happy but your warranty is out. Don't spend $650 on something that is ticking warranty is out so u can now break. Just a warning!

I would take this computer to a local tech, and get an estimate.

Getting a tech to look at it is a very good idea. I have an HP and from time to time the screen goes white with streaks kinda flickering across the screen, by accident I found a pressure point to press and it all comes back. So I think I have a loose something in there somewhere. I read on internet that Dell has a major layoff coming up too. Already went thru one hard drive in this laptop, so I think these days (outside of apple), none of the others are really built like they used to be.
