Re: Sony ereader Library Sharing

I don't know anything about sharing books with a family member. Sony is selling their computer business. This might have an impact on the e-reader business. You may want to buy your relative an Kindle paperwhite .

Re: Sony ereader Library Sharing

Hi nutmeg3. Thanks for answering. I knew that Sony was selling their ereader business. I am in Canada and here they sold to KOBO which is owned by ChaptersIndigo. I think I may have answered my own question. I have a sony with a very good library. My brother likes the same books I do. I bought him one and hope to be able to share reading material. What I was looking for was the ereader icon on the left of the library that shows the ereader connected to the computer. I just discovered that the ereader must be fully charged up before it appears in the menu on the left. Hopefully that is the answer and I can just drag the books over. His has wifi. Mine does not. I'll post back when it's charged and tell you if it works. LM

Re: Sony ereader Library Sharing

Hi again. I called Sony. As this is a more up to date ereader than mine, I had to make another library. I could then import all the books in my current library to the new library and load them on the new ereader from there. Very simple. Old library still intact. Problem solved. I love easy!!! LM
