This post is somewhat true but Dell is much worse than this. I believe and this is my opinion that there is a possibility when you are supposedly being sold a new computer it is not new. I had one that crashed within 3 months of purchase. Dell would not give me a new one in exchange but a refurbished one and it also broke down. No one can easily describe what Dell put me through. Finally on my last attempt my present Dell is holding up. Three attempts to straighten out this problem. Why do you want this brand when there are others with better ratings?
QVC will back you up for one month only and then pass you to Dell who frankly could care less.

Unless you can be more specific about the problem, there is no way to know if it was the computer or you that caused the problem. I've seen people use a notebook computer on their laps blocking the air vents and wonder why they fail. If a hard drive fails, that is an easy fix and not expensive. If a motherboard fails, that is an expensive repair and and usually occurs due to excessive heat.

Dell is not the same quality as my first desktop bought in 1998. But just like Apple, you paid for the quality and customer support through a must more expensive machine. People wanted cheaper computers and this is what you get.

I would never buy electronics from Q. Their prices are often higher than elsewhere and their models are often not the most current.

I have purchased directly from Dell and have always received great customer service. If I were to purchase another Dell, I wouldn't get it anywhere else. They offer periodic discount codes and lots of promotions.

Earlier this year, I needed a new laptop and went with a Mac. I love it!
