Well, this is my weekend to start using my new Tracfone one year special ... it's the Samsung A14 5G.
I've been using the Samsung A13, so I thought it should be an easy transition.
Last year I was very apprehensive, but it turned out to be easier than I'd thought, but I've forgotten what I did. I'm starting from scratch.
Just curious ... if you've gotten a smart phone special, do they come with sim cards installed or do you have to buy one for extra memory?
I'm a bit fuzzy on whether I need one or not ... or is it already hidden inside my phone?
Feedback or suggestions please.

@Tinkrbl44. Phones come with SIM cards but to expand the memory, you need a SD card which you must buy. I've had several phones with which I've attempted to use SD cards. So far, I've not been successful with a single one. They never come with instructions.

SIM cards used to connect your phone to a cell phone network. SD cards are used to hold memory. You need both but the SD card is the one that you can expand to accommodate more pictures, vid, music...etc. Buy SD cards at stores. SIM cards are sold by cell phone carriers and you get those if you want their service for your phone.

When I was using tracphone, they always came with a SIM card. However, when I bought my iPhone, it didn't come with a physical SIM card. I was told they are now electronic. I hope this helps.❤️

I'm surprised there are no YouTube videos on this subject to consult.

@Tinkrbl44 - The SIM card is already installed in your phone. Just use the Tracfone Wizard to transfer everything from your old phone to your new one.
(Install the app on both phones first, if you don't already have it on your old one.)
I know other posters have used different methods to transfer all their photos, contacts, etc., but I've always found the Wizard very easy.

Could you pop open the tray and verify the SIM card is inside?

A lot of the newer phones, including my current iPhone, don't have physical sim cards anymore - I was given an "eSim" from my cell phone provider. You may want to reach out to your provider.
