The letter seems pretty explanatory to me. What else could they say to explain why they sent it?

Well weren't you very helpful. I asked because there are a lot of very knowledgeable people on these boards. Also I've seen topics more obscure than this and at least it's in the right forum. I just didn't understand why I was sent a Modal cover when I bought an Apple one. You have a good day.

I think the poster is confused because she bought an Apple brand case and was sent a Modal brand case to replace it.
Personally, I'd be thanking the customer service stars that anyone cared enough to make good on something without my having to ask.
