I've been in LOVE with Google's Chrome since it debuted in late summer 2018. Clean, simple, and easy, plus it just keeps getting better. 8)

Second for me would be Mozilla's Firefox, and third would be Microsoft's Internet Explorer.

That low memory warning is usually an indication that there is a problem. This usually has something to do with the hard drive. When you get that warning, do you hear the fans? Does the computer feel hot?

That said, changing browsers probably won't help. What is it that you are trying to do when this happens? What other things are open on the computer?

Low memory means that there is too much going on at the same time - the computer is working to hard - and the warning is warning you that you need more energy (memory). You probably have a virus, or some sort of malware, that attached itself to something and is running in the background taking up all of your memory.

If you aren't doing this already, buy an external hard drive, so that you can make a backup of your hard drive. The external hard drives are cheap and the backup process is easy. I urge you to do this now, this week. This low memory warning is a warning that your hard drive is on its way out, and if you do not have a backup you will lose everything that you have saved on your computer (pictures, documents, all of it).

Then I would take the computer to a computer repair expert. Look on Yelp for a place that is local, and read the reviews from others experience. If you don't like the Yelp option, then take it to Best Buy and use the geeks. (I don't necessarily like or trust them, but its better than no option). Tell them you are getting the low memory warning.

Be careful how you make your backup. I'd recommend you select specific folders or files rather than doing a backup of the entire hard drive. Why? If you make a backup of the entire hard drive, you will/might make a backup of the malware.

Changing browsers didn't help. I tried Firefox. This is what is odd...I can access the QVC boards just fine. Everything else locks up or I get messages.

I can't do Facebook, Amazon, etc. But qvc is ok. Weird, huh?

I am going to take this computer to the doctor because I think it has a disease. LOL

Your computer does not have a disease, LOL. Windows just needs an re-install. Windows just gets to start running slow after a few years of use. Windows does not manage memory well anymore. You should take it to a local tech.
