Canon Or Nikon SLR Camera

I am up grading my camera due to the sports my kids are involve in the Fall, cross country and soccer. I need a camera that take fast moving object, and not blurry. Some recommended Canon, and some recommended Nikon. I thought I give it a try on this forum to get some opinions from the ladies/gentlemen that familiar with camera.
