Hi All!

I had the Magic Jack when it first came out all those years ago and since let it slide and threw away the jack itself...

Currently have Verizon as my home / land line and use TracPhone for my long distance, with a deal I got from TV on the "other channel" last year. Use skype on my computer, Ipod and IPad to do video calls.

Recently because I had let the "insurance" drop on Verizon I will be charged for a "service call" they did over the weekend...I'm almost affraid to think of what that bill is going to be...the first half hour is $91 and 46 for every half hour after that!

Anyhow...during this ordeal my son in law and daughter proceeded to tell he how Magic Jack has changed ... but in all the excitement of the moment Im not sure I understood them right...

So I come to all of you to help me in understanding the cost and procedure!

I see they sell them at BestBuy for around $69 or so. And it would have to be connected...but connected to what...where...? Any info on this procedure would be of great help to me.

Then after its "connected" that base price includes the first year of service...is that right?

Please any info and details you can share will be appreciated.
