Re: CORDLESS PHONE RECOMMENDATION

@VaBelle35

Hmmm!  I hope your home isn't wired with copper wire. Could be wire I made during my over 25 years of doing just that. Millions and millions of miles of wires and cables made by me "back in the day"!

I have inside/outside insurance with my phone company, so any failures don't cost be anything. Unless it has gone up in the last month, it costs me $1.50 a month, good value for me, because I also use them for my DSL.

Hope all works out for the best for you.

Re: CORDLESS PHONE RECOMMENDATION

@hckynut  I have inside/outside insurance as well.  I believe it's $2ish a month.

They do not open walls.    He replaced all the plugs in the house while he was here.  The plug closest to the main plug outside gets 70%.  He thinks it's somewhere in the wall there.

Re: CORDLESS PHONE RECOMMENDATION

You have to ask for repair of concealed wire and since he could not 100% isolate where it was, I was looking at the possibility of more than one wall being opened to find the wire wtih the issue.

Exclusions:

Restoration of your premises if you ask Verizon to repair concealed wire.

Also:

On all repairs Verizon does not “fish” walls. If wall-run wire cannot be used to run replacement wire the Verizon Technician will run replacement cable via baseboard only.

Re: CORDLESS PHONE RECOMMENDATION

This is why he said I should get an electrician.  The electrician will, at the very least, fish the cord in the wall vs running it along the baseboard.
