Yes, it is true....FYI.. If you have this older program you will have to download numerous updates.they will no longer update by themselves. That is why there is a deep clearance on windows 8 tablets and computers. So buyer beware. Microsoft is going to be unveiling there windows 10 computers and tablets in the very near future.

No, it's not. While Microsoft will discontinue supporting Windows 8 operating system, it's not going to be now. Microsoft just stopped supporting Windows XP April 8, 2014 and it was released in 2001. Here is a list of Windows operating system and their end of support dates.

Whatever! I don't care this does not affect me. They extended it then it is fine for folks who want to continue to use the older programs. I have no problems with windows 8.1 and none with windows 8. FYI.... that is what I read at the time. I don't have time to constantly be on Google checking every two minutes so at the time this was right. When they updated this I do not know. So thanks for the link. It does not concern me but, others on these boards might be interested. Enough said!
