Blurry screen on laptop, does anyone know why?

Every day for a week when I get up in the morning and turn on my laptop the screen and mostly the fonts, are so blurry I can barely read it!

I then go into safe mode (and its still blurry) and then I click around the screen (by memory) to do a system restore and once it goes through that and restarts it is clear again.

I searched online for fixes and tried everything suggested (as far as I know) such as adjusting fonts, unchecking a box in appearance etc. but every day the screen is blurry again.

I am wondering if anyone here knows why? And I am running Windows 7, so the laptop is older now.

If this keeps up and there is no quick fix, I will eventually buy a new one. At todays prices I cant see paying to have it fixed. But in the meantime I am wondering why this could be happening.

I'm no expert, and I'm sure one will eventually respond to you here, but that really sounds like an older laptop is giving you the signs.  Mine is about 5 or 6 years old, so if it starts to act weird, I'll just upgrade to a new one.

I can't tell you "why" it happens but I can tell you that this happened to me with my older laptop. Your screen is just going bad. It will eventuality go blank. I had an "IT" person take a look. I was told it was time for a new laptop... Sorry for th bad news.

I'm not an expert, and I haven't had this happen (yet), but this was my first impression.

You can replace the keyboard on a laptop (I've done that and it was very inexpensive) but I don't know if you can replace a screen and if you can it's probably more expensive than the depreciated value of the laptop.

Fixing older computers just doesn't make any practical sense. Cheaper to get a new one. If you don't buy a new one, after you invest in fixing the old one's screen, a different old part will break.

Thank you for the replies, I appreciate it. I agree its time for a new one. because I have lost patience and am ready to throw this one out the window..lol.. While looking for the best deals, I am now using my laptop keyboard with my old desk top monitor. Not fun. So, hopefully I will have a new one in the next few days or a week!

Before you throw it out the window, be sure to remove the hard drive.  Smiley Wink   Don't want anybody getting their hands on that!  Smiley Happy

Sounds like you need a replacement computer.
