Which iPad model do you have?
There are numerous tutorial videos on YouTube. Here is a link to one to get you started....

Not all text can be copied using the normal methods. I can't copy and paste stuff from News 360, for instance. What I do in that case is do a "screen shot" which is about the greatest thing pads do. Then I edit it to sharpen it and eliminate anything I don't want on my copy. Do you know how to do a screen shot?

@Kachina624, tell me. I used to be able to copy from Goodreads to post in Lainey's What Are You Reading thread but can't do that anymore. I like to post a synopsis of books I recommend. TIA. LM

I use the screen shot for pictures. I am unsure how to use screen shot for articles. Will you kindly tell me how to use screen shot for articles? Please and thank you!

It would help to specify if you want to copy and paste text from apps you're using on your mobile devices, or if you want to copy text from full websites you're reading on the internet. For many things you can convert text to a PDF, for example (sometimes using an app for that), or other document on a mobile device and then copy from there. Or sometimes you can send the article from the app to yourself in email, and copy it from there. Sometimes it just takes some trial-and-error.
On the web, often you can use the the "Reader View" on those sites offering it.
(see this link about "Reader View": http://www.iphonehacks.com/2015/09/how-to-use-the-new-options-for-reader-view-in-safari-in-ios-9.htm...)

@butterfly123@Lilysmom I'm here! Had an afternoon out with girlfriends and went to our new Cheesecake Factory. I'm a stuffed slug this evening.
Okay to do a screen shot on an iPad, you simultaneously press the power button at the top and the home button at the bottom. You have just taken a picture of what was on the screen, be it text or photo. To enlarge, stretch with your fingers before taking your photo. Then go to your edit mode and crop your picture, eliminating anything you don't want in it. I have a "sharpen" feature on my processing software and always use it on text. Then "save" and you'll have it waiting for you in your photo album. I always delete the original so I won't confuse the two. Treat it as a photo for posting or emailing.

One more question.....what kind if cheesecake did you choose? LOL
