Back up iPad/iPhone before installing iOS 7

This has been mentioned many times on threads about upgrading to iOS 7, but several people did not see the warnings about backing up your device before installing the upgrade. I thought that creating a separate thread might help those who haven't performed the update yet.

Just like with any update to your computer operating system, you should always backup before upgrading the operating system on mobile devices.

I would recommend doing a back up to iCloud in addition to backing up to iTunes on your computer.
