New computer with, what I thought were going to be decent specs. 8 g ram and AMD 10 processor. I know these are not gaming specs, but I expected Webpages to load faster. Changing pages on these board is slow, too. Wonder if anyone else has similar situation. I'm feeling sorry I didn't splurge on I 5 or I7 processor, even I3.

It is not the processor, it is Explorer 11. I have Chrome now, too and the difference is night and day, however today I downloaded new Microsoft updates and Explorer 11 is much, much faster.

There is a processor with that name (not IE 11) and it should be fast. Is loading web pages from QVC the only time it's slow? What type of security software do you have?
Even with a fast processor, programs running in the background will slow your computer. Go to search, type in msconfig, select startup and uncheck everything but your security software and touchpad if you are using a notebook computer. Click on OK/apply, reboot and get rid of the nag screen(if there is one) by putting a checkmark in the don't show me this again box.
Another easier option is to download, install and open CCleaner. Open CCleaner, click on tools then startup and disable everything but your security software and touchpad. Reboot so the changes take effect and see if your computer runs faster. I like CCleaner better because it provides the name of the program making it easier to decide which entries to disable.
The other reasons can be running a security software suite or program that bogs down the computer or the site itself is slow. QVC is not the fastest site on the internet. But, it shouldn't be that slow. Try a different browser, you should have more than just IE installed, and see if it's faster.

Your 8GB of RAM is running everything on this computer. It does not have the assistant of a graphic "card" or GPU. This site has a article linked to the front page about "External GPU's on a Laptop".
You can not assume anything about the speed of a processor. You have to check its rank order on a CPU benchmark list. Notebookcheckup.net has this feature. I have to LOL my old XP machine had a very hard time loading the lists. You can look over a computer to place on your short buy list in 10 minutes.
I then look at the wireless card. I want to know its name and number. So I can check it out on the web. I do not want to return a laptop, because it has connection problems.
I finally look at a few review sites Cnet, YouTube video, The Verge, and computer mag reviews.

CPU's get too much blame for most issues. The vast majority of the time your CPU is likely idling along at a very small percentage of it's total output. (Mine idles along at 2%-4% here and it's a five year old AMD dual core processor.) Websites can load slowly for many, many reasons and the CPU on your computer is almost certainly not the issue. Try a different browser and chances are the situation will improve. Lately the QVC site has been having scripting issues that could be affecting the speed of loading.

You don't mention your broadband speed. I had a 1.5mbps for many years and just recently am able to upgrade to faster speeds. I opted, for no extra charge, to go with the 9mbps speed. Now I can watch video's on website without all the "buffering" going on.
My computer is a couple years old. I had it built with the 2nd generation i7 Intel Processor/8g DDR3 RAM and 1TB hard drive. These specs don't mean a thing if you are talking about speed of things happening online. That is controlled more by your broadband speed than most anything else.
If you don't know your speed there are plenty of places you can go to check it. Here is one of them.
