My Iphone 6-s has a broken glass plate.  Does anyone know how long it takes to have it fixed?  We've been told it's up to five days and I just can't be without my phone for that many days.

That's so funny. I'm sure you'll survive. On the other hand, I am becoming addicted to my iPad, do I have my own, uh, issues! Actually, I save on all the monthly charges and only use the iPad and iMac at home and carry a basic cell phone for which I only have to buy minutes once in awhile. When I quit my career to breathe and live a little, I said no more if being constantly ruptured to the iPhone with nonstop texts, etc. a relief.

I don't know if it works the same but my son-in-law just replaced the screen on my laptop.

He sent away for the glass and put it on himself.  If I were you, I'd take it or call the Apple store and they could tell you how to get another one quickly.  Most people can't do without their phones.

If you have the warranty agreement, I think they have to give you a new one.  Try googling to see what you can find out.

Sorry for iPad typed. It makes up words. I was trying to say-- no more of being tied to the iPhone with nonstop texts, etc.

@libbyannE I have an Iphone 6  and enjoy having it.  I text every now and then and consider it to be convenient.

I've always believed I control the phone (texts and all) and it doesn't control me (as I believe many others here believe the same).

It's like any other convenient electronic thing, it is whatever you decide it to be.

Perhaps the OP needs it for business or for personal reasons.

You're right! I was just being funny. In my career, I had to have it, period. Now I have the luxury of not having to be tethered to it. Was just being silly. Sorry if I offended.

@libbyannE No, I know you didn't offend.  I was being silly.  Please accept my apology too.  I'm the one who should apologize.

I just saw the OP as someone who might need it to keep in touch withe family members, etc.

You are sweet to apologize.

@Puzzle Piece

There are some businesses that replace the glass within a few minutes.

@Puzzle Piece

go to the mall and there are booths that will replace it while you wait,

and I agree who can be without their iPhone

you can also order the parts and do it yourself although I wouldn't attempt it, as much as I like to save my monies
