Apple iPod touch 8 GB (4th Generation) Need advice for purchase

I have a chance to buy this at a reduced price because it is listed as a return. I am a gadget kind of gal and do travel. I would love to have this or something like it. I am not an Apple person and never owed an I anything.

If anyone has this... what do you think. The pricetag would be about $150 before shipping.
