Apple cordless ear buds?

I must have been a good girl because I received a pair of Apple cordless ear buds with the charging case!  My only question is how are they placed in the ears with the silocone covers on? Where does that little curved piece go? Thanks!

It's hard to explain but once you put the ear bud in, that piece will just settle in the upper part of your ear.  Not inside your ear canal but inside your outer ear.  It will just nicely lay in the curve of your ear inside.
