If you have it, would you review it pls?  How does it co,pare to buying your own music?

Can an you keep music if your decide not to keep doing it? What are the differences between this and Spotify.  How does this compare to Sirius XM?Do you use some other streaming system?

My brother wants something to stream while he is at his camp, no wifi.  Can he do it without using all his data on his phone?

XM radio has the best programing of any station. Your brother should call the company and ask about a deal.

I've had it since it came out. I love it. As far as comparing to just buying. It depends. How big of a music consumer are you? Are you always looking for new music to listen to? How likely are you to buy music from a band that's new to you?

I've also had an emusic subscription on and off for about 10 years because they have a lot of independent and international artists. Apple Music doesn't have everything I listen to, but they've given me a way to listen extensively to bands new to me. They've really expanded independent artist offerings.

I also like Bandcamp for purchasing.

I personally wouldn't bother getting it if all you listen to is oldies though.

It's actually Sirius XM now, but it's not comparable. Sirius XM is radio. Apple Music is a subscription where you can listen to anything in their library any time you want to, make play lists ect. It's nothing like satellite radio. And yes, I've had a sub to that including home and car radios. I'm just not a radio person though and frankly they're severely lacking in independent and non mainstream music.

I  buy some of my music on CD Baby. I play smooth Jazz, and classic jazz. Sometimes  R&B.

@jaxs mom, do you mean Sirius XM is lacking in non mainstream and independent music or Apple?  We have Sirius XM in one vehicle.  I cancelled it in mine because I don't use my vehicle enough to justify the cost.  LM

@Nuttmeg@jaxs mom, one of the issues for my brother mid data usage on his phone.  His camp has no wifi so he is looking for something that won't eat data.

I don't know if it is possible to download Apple Music and then listen offline.  If you can't do that, he is better off buying his music.  I realize once you cancel Apple Music you lose access.

I am going to find some time to try Spotify more over the holidays.

Can you listen to Sirius offline?

I am sorry the previous links got nixed by the mod.  Looked like there was good info there but it got zapped before I could get to all of it.  LM

Apple Music has more offerings that are further outside the mainstream. You do have to know how to find it though, because it's not obvious.

If you're not interested in that, then it doesn't matter. I had XM ( before the merger) in my truck and when I gave dh that vehicle to drive he kept the subscription. But I never bothered to put it in the car I started driving. I did use the online streaming but we turned off our subs for our home units. If you like radio, it's great. I'm not a radio person. I want to listen to what I want, when I want.
