You'll find there aren't many choices when ordering a Apple computer. It's not like customizing a Windows computer where you can select almost every piece of hardware.

You can add RAM. On some you can have a larger HDD. There are other options as well. You can customize if you order from the Apple Store On-Line.

You can add RAM, have a bigger hard drive (which I don't consider customizing) and a choice of processor speeds (which I do consider customizing). I'm use to customizing almost everything and that's not much. Apple wants the control over what goes into their computers. It's probably why they don't want some of the conflicts between hardware and operating system Windows does.

I don't know if that's true or not. I believe Apple wants control over their computers and don't allow a lot of customization. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, it's just how it is. When I bought my Windows computers, I selected the processor speed, video card, audio card, network card in addition to the hard drive size and memory. That's what I call customizing.
