Re: Another iPhone question please...

I temporarily deleted some apps to have enough space for the download. Then put them back on when the download was complete.

Re: Another iPhone question please...

Just to add something to the good advice already posted: You might want to try launching iTunes on your computer, plugging your iPhone into the computer, and see if you can download iOS that way. As stressed before: be SURE you ALWAYS have a good backup before downloading new software.

In some cases, that type of installation solves the storage problem. (You also could temporarily remove a few things, like apps, and add them back in after the update. If you haven't already done so, look in the General settings and see the "Usage," and you'll get a good idea of what's taking up storage. Also, a simple sync and backup with iTunes on the computer will remove a big chunck of storage taken up by the "Diagnostics & Usage" data.)

Just wanted to add this is why I send my favorite photos to Walgreen's dot com and have them print them and then I pick them up, so easy and you can pick and choose.

Re: Another iPhone question please...

A third party software program like iExplorer is the easiest way, but there are a few ways to do it. Click here for a Google search that will bring up several results. I checked them and the second and third seem to be very helpful.

Re: Another iPhone question please...

Ok, next silly question. I just went thru my texts and saved 78 photos to my desktop.

NOW, how do I get rid of the texts??? There's not a quick, easy way to delete what's already on my phone. This doesn't seem to be a simple app that I can dump....

TIA!!

Re: Another iPhone question please...

From the text screen, click on edit. I don't have my phone in front of me, but I think it's in the upper right corner of the screen. Once you click edit, a little empty circle will appear to the left of the screen, to the left of the name or phone number. Just tap in the circle each text you want to delete. You can do multiples at once. Once you've tapped on all the texts you want to delete, then click on delete. Again, that option will be on the top right of the screen I think.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Re: Another iPhone question please...

So can someone tell me where to find my Camera Roll? It vanished into the sunset. I did the download on the first update, and then the second. Somewhere in there I lost the Camera Roll. Then I read here that Camera Roll had been reinstated. So where do I get mine, please?

DH's phone will not do the 2 upgrade, which he needs, because he has too many programs on it. His family thinks he needs all this music, which he hates, and they have put tons of apps on his phone taking up space. We're going to delete those and get back to the real world. DH is 95, and misses Glenn Miller., Tommy Dorsey, Artie Shaw. (Me, too!)

I am not sure but I dont think the camera roll update has been issued yet.

For you husbands phone you need to delete the apps not only on the phone but also in itunes because when you back up your phone next time they will be restored.

Do you know how to connect your phone to your computer and delete apps then back up?
