I am trying (yes I did look on line first, followed the instructions) to delete all the files in my google drive account.  Nothing I have tried works.  Anyone have any idea?  thank you

You need a iphone as others have said.  G-mail is horrible.  I would get another email address as well.

I had a Verzson email address but had to change providers, so I got Gmail which was universal.  I have never had trouble with Gmail except for the current problem I am having texting with a couple of friends.

The gmail is also used for our business...I do not want to change providers for that reason.

Re: Another gmail question

[ Edited ]

Here's a weird one w/gmail. Every time I send an email to my sister-in-law who has an AT&T email addy she gets it BUT I immediately get an email from that Mailer-Daemon thing that my email could not be delivered to...and it gives a gmail addy....due to either an expired addy or it's full...or something along those lines...followed by a bunch of numbers. I have deleted them so can't give the exact wording. Attached to it will be the email I sent my sister-in-law. She has never had a gmail addy. It's just the weirdest thing.

I have searched for an answer to what might be going on to no avail.

GMail can be a challenge anytime. Google wants to make the interface easy to use and this brings confusion.

@Nuttmeg   I agree.  I have a G-Mail but don't use it.  I could never get used to it.

@Mom2Dogs

Google's instructions say, "If you delete, restore, or permanently delete multiple files or folders at once, it might take time for you to notice the changes." I don't store files there so I don't know how long it takes, but have you given it some time? Did you move them to trash and also empty trash? If you don't empty trash they're supposed to automatically delete after 30 days.

Also, I don't agree that an iPhone is needed.

Check your contacts. Make sure you don't have two email addresses for your SIL in there.

@Caffeina   I finally was able to trash everything in google drive this afternoon, thinking that maybe there was to much stored and it needed to be deleted.  I don't know if that had anything to do with the emailing/texting issue.

Honestly, I did not know that there was anything stored in the drive...it was all things that customers had sent to me for my business.  Obviously I am not tech savy at all

We girls usually text in the evenings, I am waiting for someone to send a text, then I will try my account again.  I deleted their info in my contacts so I'd rather they contact me first.

That was the first thing I did back a couple of months ago when this first started happening. It only happens w/her email address. And she said nobody else has told her they get the Mailer Daemon (or Daemon Mailer, whatever it is) email when they send her one.
