I waited so long for the Echo and not sure I'm loving it. I ask ""Alexa"" questions and a lot of the time she doesn't give me an answer. I'm not asking anything that I couldn't Google so I don't know what the problem is. Also I'm not sure of how to use this to get music to play. I have music on my iPod but not on the 2 Kindles I have. I was just wondering how everyone uses their Echo?

I should get my Echo Tuesday March 5th. I will let you know how well it plays music.

I love her for making my grocery list. I also check the weather each morning. I have a fitbit, so it is nice to tell her to play music even if it is one song (several times a day) and dance or walk to the music to get more steps in. We like to take short trips every 3 to 5 months. We were asking her how far it is to different places and she tells you how many miles it is from your location within a couple seconds. So much faster than mapquesting or putting the info. in a GPS.

If you have an iPod Touch, you can stream your music with a Bluetooth connection to "Alexa". "Pair Your Mobile Device with Amazon Echo" Place this into a Google search. A Bluetooth connection is good for 30 ft.

You can play Amazon Music on your "Echo" with the App. You can run this App on more than one phone or tablet.

Ok, this is weird. My mom requested an invite way after me and we had gotten our invites the same day. Mine was to be delivered Feb. 23. Since she requested hers an hour or two after I did (same day), then hers was to be delivered March something. Can't remember exact date now. Well I got mine, but she cancelled hers. My stepdad told her they wouldn't be able to hear it, etc. She also didn't want to renew her Prime and she was going to have to in able to get it for $99. So her Prime membership expired. Yesterday she got an email from Amazon that she could still buy it for $99 and did she want it. She decided to go ahead and get it since she wouldn't have to renew her Prime to get it for that price! She said she has the invoice to prove that she got it for $99 even though her Prime expired. Now I'm happy that she is getting it cheaper without Prime because she is my Mom, but that isn't right! I kept asking her details because I couldn't hardly believe it. She says it's true. Doesn't make sense to me!

Are you sure her Prime didn't automatically renew? It does that unless you cancel it. By the way, they should be able to hear it if they have any hearing at all. Echoes can play really loudly. My nearly deaf Mom hears mine fine.

I don't know. I kept asking her and she said no. Who knows? If it did, my step-dad will read them the riot act. LOL

Yes, I agree about them being able to hear it. I showed her how loud mine was. I think they were having a "save money" moment when they decided to cancel it. Then they saw mine and changed their mind. I think it is strange that Amazon sent them another chance to buy it when they canceled their first order. Now they won't get it til July. I told them I'd buy it in a minute if they don't want it.

I ordered my Echo in early January and had an original ship date of Apr 9. I just got an email that it's shipping and I will have it March 25! That time sure went by fast. I can't wait to get my new toy!

I ask ""Alexa"" a number of questions that she can't answer. I'm a little disappointed in this.

""Alexa"" is a developing technology. ""She"" does not understand the question or does not have an answer. Things will get better in time.

Would you mind sharing what types of questions you asked her? If they are of a type that she should be expected to know, you might bring that to the attention of the Echo folks.
