I ordered it on 12/19 with delivery date of 12/31 then the date was moved to 12/26 then changed to and delivered on 12/24. And now they won't have all the Christmas stuff to deliver.

Amazon often gives you a "worst case" date and then things come faster. I'm hoping that's the case. My new smart phone (which is great by the way!) had an estimated arrival date of 1/05/2015 and I got it today. Hopefully my new Echo will come faster than expected. I've already downloaded and installed the Echo app on my new phone, so I'm ready when it gets here.

Would you believe, I just got an invite for the echo! I thought they were now available to anyone, Amazon Prime or not.

This reminds me of when I was a kid. I was the only girl in the neighborhood. I was always the LAST one to be chosen to be on the neighborhood baseball teams. LOL

One of the guys in the neighborhood used to call me Fatty Patty. It would hurt my feelings so much. I was chunky though. But you know what was funny? He was fatter than I was, but I didn't even realize it until I was an adult. LOL

Are we the last ones to be invited to the Echo party?

There are still a lot of people waiting. Patience is wearing thin for many. I was surprised (shocked) when it finally let me order one. I'm not sure any invites will come out next week since they're not due back in stock until mid January. After that another big pile of invites are likely to go out.

My daughter and I both signed up for the invitation to purchase the echo. She is on my prime account as you can put 4 family members on it. I received the notice about 4 weeks ago that I could now purchase it, so I did. My DD received the e-mail to purchase just a week ago and she decided against it. I like my echo, but the big downfall in my opinion is the fact that it's not portable. I would like to be able to easily take it from room to room as I do my Bose portable. I'm okay with the purchase for $99, but I would not purchase this at $199. I hope all of you who are waiting, get your opportunity soon!

On another Amazon topic..... did any of you purchase the Firestick when it was available for Prime members for $19? We purchased 2 and they are worth every penny!!! Now they are selling for $39 which is still a good deal, IMO.
