I have a Win7 pc. I have had the latest version of Adobe Flash (27.0.0.187) for a while and have had no problems playing games in Google Chrome until today. I'm getting a message that I "need the latest version of Adobe Flash to play" the game. Chrome updates automatically.
Here are all the steps I tried to resolve the issue with no success:
I uninstalled Flash, then re-downloaded it. It's the same version I had.
I uninstalled Chrome, then re-downloaded Chrome.
I used CCleaner.
I did a malware and virus scan.
I rebooted several times.
Does anyone know why my on-line game won't load even though I have the latest version of Flash?
BTW, Firefox has always shown this message. Besides, it's constantly crashing. Also, IE no longer gives updates for Win7, so that browser no longer works.

I'm no expert on this type of thing, but it's possible that since you are using a Windows 7 pc that all of the components of the latest version of Adobe Flash no longer function with your operating system. That could affect how games and other functions which use Flash perform on your system. Maybe someone else can offer a truly technical informed opinion.

@Trix, that occurred to me too....... but, all my King games play just fine. This one game is run by RockYou instead of King and I'm getting that message. I submitted a Help question to RockYou, but something tells me they won't know the answer.
ETA: Besides, when I re-downloaded the latest version of Flash, it said it was good for Win7, Win8.

Stupid Question: Since I re-downloaded Adobe Flash today, shouldn't the download be listed in my "Download" folder? It isn't. But it is listed in my "Programs" in my Control Panel.

Have you tried playing the game on Internet Explorer? That might solve the problem for you. Things like Adobe Flash are plug-ins for specific browsers and some browsers are more compatible than others.

I fixed it! I noticed in the web address, for a split second, it said "plug in blocked" at the very end of the address. I clicked on the lower case i in the circle to the left of the web address and saw down the list that Adobe Flash was blocked. I clicked on "Always allow on this site" and my game loaded once I rebooted.
Now the thing is, I haven't done anything to alter these instructions. Adobe Flash has always been allowed on the site..... up until today, so it's still a mystery as to how it became blocked.
I hope this helps others as far as how to undo the message that you need Adobe Flash. I know I've seen that question somewhere else before.
@gardenman, as I explained in my OP...... I can no longer use IE as a browser, at least for games, because Windows 7 no longer gives IE updates, rendering IE useless. Firefox usually crashes on me.

Wait a minute. I installed Windows updates first thing this morning. I was overdue in updating from last month. Is it possible that one of the several "Security Updates" blocked plug-ins?

@SaRina Adobe Flash has been a known security risk for a long time and is now seldom used as a video format. I think both Firefox and Chrome have either blocked or not encouraged having it automatically run by default for quite some time. I first encountered what you noticed with Chrome several months ago, probably implemented in Windows 10 first.
This is only a guess, but my thought is that IE has pretty much been replaced by Bing. My personal preference has been Chrome for years. Firefox is my second choice because it works for a couple of things that Chrome doesn't.

@juperier, what plug-in is used nowadays for video such as on-line games? I googled just now and Adobe Flash seems to be the only one.

@SaRina The current standard is HTML5, which in conjunction with JavaScript does NOT require a plugin. Apparently, less than 10% of websites still used Flash as of the end of 2015. For me, most of these seem to invovle tv/radio streaming and/or games. About all you can do is exactly what you did...allow it to run when you have no other option. Personally, I just cleared all my authorizations. So you may hear me cussing a bit when I suddenly find myself blocked.
