ABC network ....no live streaming on Roku?

Can anyone tell me why I cannot get ABC live streaming on my Roku. I'm not super tech savvy with my Roku, but I am able to navigate around a little bit with it. I don't watch much at all on ABC, but there is one morning show I would like to watch sometimes.

Is live streaming simply not available for some channels or is it because my Roku is a couple of years old? Any thoughts? TIA

In order to access the ABC live stream, and some on-demand content, you must verify your participating TV provider account.

The lock symbol, and Verify to Watch label identify which episodes require you to link your participating TV provider account. Locked episodes for many shows will become available to watch without verifying your participating TV provider account 8 days after the episode first airs on TV.

A TV provider is the company you pay in order to get your television service, like a cable company, a satellite company, or a telco (also called a telecommunications company).

To view participating TV providers available in your area, and to link your TV provider account, visit ABC.com, or the ABC mobile, tablet, and TV streaming apps and select any episode with the lock symbol, VERIFY TO WATCH label or the LIVE section. If your TV provider is not listed, don't worry; we're working hard to add more TV providers in the near future, and you can still watch hundreds of full episodes without verifying a TV provider account.

@Sue98 I have a Roku but I also have an antenna in my window, I receive ABC and all the local channels with that. The antenna costs $30 on Amazon. I don't pay for any TV channels. Hope this helps.

Thanks, waterlily! I've thought about getting an antenna, too, but my understanding is that it probably wouldn't work at my house. I live 100 miles from the nearest tv station, and I also live in a valley surrounded by very large hills. I wish an antenna would work for me.

Hi waterlily, is that $30 a month or a one time purchase? We have Sling and Netflix and since I am used to Direct TV all of this streaming is driving me crazy.
