I haven't seen the UPS truck for weeks.  All my Amazon packages are now being delivered by the USPS, even big bags of heavy dog food.  It's a real struggle for my petite mail carrier.

We might as well face it ladies,  the good old days of parcel delivery are over.  The Internet killed it with overwhelming success, more than any single entity could handle.

I think UPS has been under the gun to speed things up. You'll notice you see those "we'll be in your area so we'll deliver it" notices when they're about to exceed the EDD.

All I can say is shop and mail early because it's going to be a mess. There will be whining and sniveling like we've never heard before. The "QVC ruined my Christmas" stories from first-time posters will abound. Just wait.

I have not noticed any extra time when my packages come delivered by the USPS with my mail.  Mailman puts the bag on my porch, same as UPS.  Perhaps there is a difference in a day, don't know as my packages arrive quickly after shipped by QVC   The difference is when they come by USPS the package is clean, untorn and in good condition, able to be re-used for returns if necessary.  When the package is delivered from UPS, the envelope is dirty, has black track marks looks like it was run over by a truck (probably caught in a conveyor belt). Sometimes actually has holes in it.  I pick the bag up with my fingertips and definitely must wash my hands immediately after handling a UPS delivered bag.  Don't know why they have to be so dirty - must be careless handling at the distribution centers.

If there is anything that holds up my orders, it is the processing time at QVC.  Sometimes processes quickly, other times stays in processing a week or more.  I currently have two items still in processing that were ordered before two items I received today.  All clothing and all but one the same vendor.

I have no issue with USPS delivering my packages.  I am not crazy about how they manage to squeeze them in my mailbox though.  If the package starts out at the Q on USPS, it takes forever and takes a scenic route.  If it ships UPS then handed over to USPS, I usually get it the same day it's handed off.

The more my packages get handled...the worse the package looks when I finally get it.

I ordered some slouch boots from Kohls....they shipped the boots in a shoe box....in a plastic bag... it was totally flat by the time I got it UPS surepost...

I have them stuffed with newspaper to get the shape back into them

In my area, UPS wins. USPS service is horrible and my area has been repeatedly voted/ranked in the top 5 of the WORST in the nation.

The number of items that I have NEVER received but show "delivered" equals a cost of almost 2 grand that QVC has lost. Yep. No matter how much I complain and to whom, jewelry items are still sent via USPS. Currently dealing with 2 items that have "walked" as of yesterday. It's HORRIBLE.

One thing I've found out via this nightmare is that the VENDOR chooses how they want their items to be shipped, NOT QVC. When I found this out, I made the attempt to contact those vendors whose items I would love to own but can't/don't because my USPS branch hires thieves. No response from any vendor other than 1 who sent a canned response.

I'm at a loss as to what to do other than to stop ordering from QVC. Of course, the CHEAP stuff gets to me.....but not the "good" stuff.

I am not sure about the vendor, I have had Denim and Co items shipped via, UPS, Sure Post and USPS.

I think it has become luck of the draw I would gladly pay an up charge to get my items more in a more timely manner

i much prefer UPS......my driver is friendly and efficient. sometimes, even though it is supposed to be handed off to USPS with smartpost, UPS makes a note and says that they will be delivering it  instead.

most of my amazon deliveries come via amazon delivery......usually an unmarked car or  truck and the driver wearing an amazon vest.
