I received an item that is way too big.  I called customer service, and would like to exchange for one size smaller.  It will cost me $6.95 to return, $3.00 to ship a new one, and add my original $3.00 to ship.  So in all, $12.95 to get the proper size.  WHOA!  I guess I was not aware of this $$$$$$ when you want to exchange.  Oh, and by the way, I DID check the garment measurements before ordering.

This is why I very seldom purchase anything from QVC, and return even less.  First, you have to pay for shipping, wherein a lot of other places have free shipping; second, you have to pay return shipping to send it back.  Then, if you want to exchange it, you have to pay again.  No thanks.  At one time, QVC had unique items which you had trouble finding elsewhere, but no more.  This, and increased competition from online vendors is making QVC weaker in the marketplace.  They haven't changed with the times.  Don't watch QVC very often, or very long, but when I do, and see something I like, I go online and order it elsewhere.  Anyway, everyone has their opinions, and these are mine.

First of all, measure the garment & compare with click here numbers.  If they do not match in a reasonably way, tell that to CS.  They should let you use their return label so you won't have to pay return shipping.  Secondly, they should refund the initial shipping fee as well.  Now, at this point, the other shopping channel will send you out a smaller size replacement & charge $00 shipping.  They will also not bill you for the replacement if you return one of them within 2 weeks.  See if Q will ship replacement free.  Good luck!

@mac116Curious -  how far off were those garment measurements?  I know they can be off a bit, but if they are off by inches -  that's a defect and I'd be livid not to have them absorb the retirn money loss.

As for whether I'll continue to buy from QVC.  Sure I will, but pretty much what I buy I keep and that works because on average I buy a garment once every few years from QVC.  I just never do well with any online sellers unless you couint Nordstrom where I already buy plenty brick and mortar and then sometimes fine another item of the same thing on the website -  although for the past few months, I have been totally unimpressed with Nordies clothes in the departments I usually favor.

@minNYC  I will give it a try.  You know those people who threaten to not EVER order  again?  I feel like that today.  Just really disappointed in this...

You have to know how to handle it.  I usually find CS very responsive.  If not, hang up & call again.
