So while I think it's great that QVC is trying to encourage new customers, maybe they should look at doing some offers (other than TSV) for those of us who have been loyal customers for ages, and purchased enough for them to start another new network!   Where's the incentive for the rest of us?   Not seeing it gang.

I don't think $5 is going to influence too many people.  It might cover shipping. I laughed when I first saw it.

i remember when QVC used to send out discount cards for your birthday, that don't do that anymore,  we are lucky if we get free shipping,

Before I order anything from QVC I check Amazon and a few other places.  It is usually cheaper there with free shipping, so that's where I do my shopping. QVC's prices are too high and their shipping charges are over the top, especially if you buy multiples of the same item.

Today's consumers are savvy.

That's such a joke - $5?  Really?

I could not agree more.  I think QVC should offer every cutomer a one time $5.00 credit.  They certainly were not rewarding new customers with that incentive when I first started shopping here so many years ago.

I also laughed when I heard about the five dollar prize for opening a Q account card!  Not such a good incentive for new beginners!!

For several months now, I have been receiving emails from HSN with more of a dollar return to open a HSN card. If QVC wants to compete for buyers, they'd better raise the prize!!!

Zero interest for those who pay their bill by the due date each month.

A person doesn't have to pay interest.

$5.00 is cheap and tacky. Do something worthwhile or forget it.

And how about the long time shoppers. What do we get?

But that's no different than the cable companies. They court new customers up the wazoo with excellent deals. Old customers up for renewal can go jump. You might get a $10/mo savings from them, on a $125+ bill.
