What is Advance Order?  I made 2  purchases 6 days ago for a laptop on 5 easy payments along with a 3 yr service plan.  The service plan has been shipped but my laptop keeps saying Advance order.  It also gives me an  EDD. Can someone explain it to me please?

This happens a lot when an an item is being shipped directly from the manufacturer, especially electronics.  They are probably still making your laptop.  Too bad they don't always inform customers in advance of ordering the item.

@2blondeI've never had an actual ADVANCE ORDER where I wasn't told in advance that the item was going to be quite delayed.  That's different from an order which is a few days late because the manufacturer is making fresh product and delivering it directly.  Hopefully, OP will get the right infoi from ther mods.  Sounds as if she is a new or newish customer.

I know last spring I had an ADVANCE ORDER from Perricone which didn't ship for maybe 6 weeks -  but I knew when I ordered when it was supposed to ship and it did.  I could have canceled any time in between because I hadn't paid QVC anything, but I didn't because QVC's price was hundreds of dollars below every other retailer on that item!  Still is by the way.

@millieshops  I have had advance orders where it wasn't noted before I placed the order.  It has happened more on other shopping channels than at QVC, however.
