The difference in the terms may mean something to QVC personnel but to me they both mean, "I'm still waiting".

In Process is that you bought an item but they have to wait for the Suez canal to be unjammed and being prepared is that the vendor has the item in inventory to mail out.

@DrKelli - It is somewhat confusing, but when you first place your order, it immediately goes to the "In Process" status as they verify order details. The next phase will be "Preparing Your Order," which means those details were confirmed and your order is being packed and labeled for shipment. However, I've had a few orders that remained in "Preparing Your Order" even after they'd already been delivered, so take that status update with a grain of salt.
